What is rEBEL REMAKE?
rEBEL REMAKE rebels against fast fashion. With second-hand clothing, vintage or pieces from your own wardrobe you can also dress stylish! By making original combinations, creative tweaks or unique remakes, you’re dressed like no one else!
rEBEL REMAKE helps you to discover your own style, gives advice to which clothes suit your body and can refashion clothes so that you can shine in unique sustainable outfits!
And who is behind all that?
MDKM, aka Rotterdam based Marsha de Koning Man. You may already know her from her creation rEBEL LUCY or from her contribution against anti-Asian racism. And of course because of her unique clothing style!
How did rEBEL REMAKE come about?
rEBEL REMAKE originated from Marsha’s ideal to rebel against the fast fashion industry and against over-consumerism. There’s no need to go shopping every month or weekly – let alone daily – to look great!
At the thrift store, in vintage shops or at clothing swap parties you can find your fit. By making unexpected combinations with your current clothing, making small adjustments or by reworking a jacket into a suit, you can create your own original look.
But doesn't that look old fashioned?
On the contrary! Since Marsha no longer buys new clothes, she gets plenty of compliments about her style. Marsha completely switched to vintage and second-hand clothing in 2015, which she then transforms into something unique.

How come she's so crafty?
Marsha started making her own clothes in 2017. She no longer wanted to be dependent on the fickle fashion industry, therefore she took a sewing and pattern drawing course. Only then did she find out that it’s secretly in her genes. Marsha’s grandmother made many creations for her inner circle in the 1960s. For 17.50 guilders you could order a tailor-made skirt from her. With her grandmother’s tape measure, crayons and seam ripper, Marsha now creates the coolest items!
